Operations Manager Air Freight
Description
Your role as Operations Manager
As Operations Manager you will oversee and optimize our air freight activities, including:
Import and export, customs procedures, transport planning and warehouse management.
The operational management on the work floor is carried out by team leaders and/or the supervisor. You are responsible for the overall supervision, process optimization and strategic management. You ensure that the teams work efficiently, monitor performance and intervene where necessary to further improve operational processes. In addition, you provide support for complex issues, coordinate escalations and stimulate continuous improvements.
At a strategic level, you play an active role within the Management Team. You lead improvement projects, process optimizations and digitalization initiatives and are responsible for compliance with customs regulations, IATA regulations and permits (including AEO, RTO). In addition, you act as Security Manager, where you supervise safety, quality and compliance.

Requirements
Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar position within air freight or logistics
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, procedures and industry information
- Problem solving, proactive, communicative and flexible
- You are a team player
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English
- Willingness to continuously develop yourself within the logistics sector
- Living within a radius of 20 km from Aalsmeer
